AWDS Hard Campaign Guide - Mission 18: Omens and Signs

Difficulty: Easy-Moderate.

Objective: Destroy the sea fortress' four minicannons protected by the eight minicannons on the second front.

Suggested Main COs: Andy, Sonja, Eagle, Grit.

Support COs: Max, Kanbei.

Suggested skills for Main CO: Conquerer, Slam Shield, Seamanship, Backstab.

Suggested skills for Support CO: Brawler, Bruiser, Slam Guard, Slam Shield.

General Strategy

A mission that relies on the success on the second front. Thankfully, the Defencive AI mode works this time by not sending your units into range of the Minicannons and enemy Fighter Jets. You effectively need someone with good offence and good defence on the second front. Max or Kanbei are ideal choices but Eagle can work pretty well here with his reduced fuel ability. Don't bother sending any air units to the top screen, your partner can survive while your main CO is busy destroying all of Jugger's air units.

Jugger's units are all powerful. You should be very wary of them but don't bother yourself by being scared of his Rockets or Missiles because your units shouldn't need to go near them initially. Your first priority is to destroy the pipe seam to let one of the Stealth's out. Then you can easily pop off a Cruiser to get the other Two Stealth units out.

Try and capture all three Communication Towers as soon as possible so you can destroy Battleships with your Submarine in one hit as soon as possible.

In-Depth Guide

Fighters NORMALLY don't die in one hit so use all four to flush out the dived Submarine. With that out of the way, you can comfortably use your Battleship to attack all three Cruisers to the South West of the map and let out the Carriers and Stealth units. Once all the aerial units have been shot down, send all Fighter Jets to the second front.
