AWDS Hard Campaign Guide - Mission 25: Ring of Fire
Difficulty: Easy - Moderate.
Objective: Rout the enemy within 18 days.
Suggested Main COs: Grit.
Support COs: Kanbei, Javier.
Suggested skills for Main CO: Tower Power, Fire Sale, Gold Rush, Star Power.
Suggested skills for Support CO: Slam Guard, Slam Shield, Brawler, Sniper.
General Strategy
This mission's main front is easy with Grit. If you choose Grit and attack with all your indirects and keep them supplied, this is no problem at all. The second front seems to cause a lot of commotion. It would appear that no CO can defeat Kanbei pre-deployed in such a manner and it is true to an extent. No one but Kanbei himself. You could use Jess or Sensei for the extra power they have but they just lack in the defence. What you do need however, is at least two towers. By covering both Missile units and the precious Anti Aircrafts and allowing Kanbei to wound the Battle Helicopters, you can easily win this front by dealing with the matter at hand. Just remember to send the Anti aerial capable units to the top screen along with any unwanted units. Save at least two foot soldiers to capture the properties to the North and East of the Headquarters.
In-Depth Guide
Simply put, Grit is the one for this map. You can't really lose as Grit even if you lose the second front. You can still easily obtain a perfect score as long as you finish within the time limit.
As for the second front, you should keep units within the inner blind spots of the Missiles so you can attack the Bomber and/or Battle Helicopters with ease. Make sure you target the Bomber first though before you attack the helicopters. Use Anti-Aircraft units as the deterrent and keep the foot soldiers on the Communication Towers. If you see one of the enemy's foot soldier within range of the Northern Communication Tower, do not allow it to capture that Tower.
Being Javier with Tower Power will give you a great advantage when you CO Power just before your enemy performs Samurai Spirit. However, you can still almost get your power before his so if you do, never mind how many units you have, use it and your units have a higher chance of surviving. But remember, winning the second front makes the game easier but your only CO choice may be anyone you wish since they will receive the EXP for participating in the mission.
