AWDS Hard Campaign Guide - Mission 6: The Ocean Blue

Difficulty: Easy - Moderate.

Objective: Rout the enemy or capture the enemy HQ.

Suggested Main COs: Kanbei, Drake, Grit.

Support COs: Sonja, Andy.

Suggested skills for Main CO: Slam Guard, Slam Shield, Seamanship, Backstab.

Suggested skills for Support CO: Teamwork, Synergy, Bodyguard, any other.

General Strategy

You’re going to be fully utilising the naval triangle of Battleship > Cruiser > Submarine > Battleship here. Since you only have one of each and Lash has two of each and one Submarine, you have to fully use the Helicopters to your advantage here. Lash will send her Mechs to their doom on the centre island. Bring the Armoured Personnel Carrier to the centre map for a quick supply station for your submerged Submarine.

In-Depth Guide

Move all of your units that are on the sea just out of range of the battleships, cruisers and artillery. Use your rockets to eliminate the Mechs on the same island. It is rare for a Cruiser to come within range of your rockets unless you manage to move one of your rockets from the North Western Island and position it well.

Keep an eye on the enemy submarine and remember where it is. Use your Battle Copter or your Lander to bump into it then destroy it with your Cruiser. Once you’ve cleared the Submarine, you don’t have to worry about your Battleship getting sunk in one turn so use it to blast the Cruisers into smithereens. Use your own Submarine to sneak up to the battleships to destroy them but make sure that you destroy your target otherwise the cruisers could pose a serious problem to it.
