Jake - 1337 Gangsta

Jake Normal

What's chillin', homes. Jake be diggin' his ineptitude for the English language, idiot style. As a CO he is hardcore on plains, and doesn't really lose out anywhere, yo. A decent CO for beginners upwards, even if you do want to claw his face off every time he opens his mouth. Word.

Day To Day Abilities

  • 110% power on plains tiles (land and air)

Note that the bonus on plains occurs for both land and air units.

COP - Beat Down ***

  • 130% attack on plains
  • 110% attack on all else
  • +1 ground-based indirect range
  • 110% defence

Jake drops his opponent like a phat beat and picks some assorted bonuses from the bottom of the COP barrel. All units on plains get 130% attack, all other units get 110% attack, everyone gets the usual 110% defence, and for no real reason all land indirects gain +1 range.

SCOP - Block Rock ---***

  • 150% attack on plains
  • 110% attack on all else
  • +2 vehicle movement
  • +1 ground-based indirect range
  • 110% defence

Jake turns up the music to ear drum bursting point, and cranks out the beats, this style: +2 movement for ground vehicles, +1 range for indirect units, the usual 110% offence/defence for all units, and 150% attack for those on plains.

A very ground-orientated tag, but one that means you can dominate the ground well (especially with both +2 movements during Tag Power) and still use a navy and air force by switching to Jake when necessary.

Notes & Tactics

Jake

A good starting CO that has his uses even after you finish the first mission of campaign, Jake is an all-rounder with a minor emphasis on ground battles. In some ways he is a sort of low-powered Jess, he doesn't get as much of a boost on ground, but his navy and air force are not weakened (and air units can still claim the plains attack bonus). As such, you should use him either as a neutral tag partner to make up for someone else's weakness, or as the main attacker on plains-heavy maps. Saving up for his SCOP is usually the best idea, as +2 movement is not to be scoffed at in fierce ground battles - just ask Adder. Also, because of the increased movement, Jake should probably start a tag power in order to reach the enemy and still have two rounds of firing on them. Blam, word style.
